The alibi.

Inspector Smith is at the airport in Dublin. He is very happy because he´s on holiday.

Suddenly a young woman bumps into him and he falls to the ground. She apologizes for being so clumsy and she says that her name is Olivia Jones. It´s exactly five past two. Then Inspector Smith sees an earring on the ground and gives it to Miss Jones.

The next day Inspector Smith is reading the newspaper in the Botanical Garden : «Woman steals a diamond…» There was a robbery in the museum and the biggest diamond in Ireland is missing! The police arrested a woman because some witnesses said that she was there at the time of the robbery, between 1:55 and 2:10…and that woman is Olivia Jones!

Inspector Smith goes to the Police Station and he wants to talk to the officer. He says that Miss Jones can´t be the thief because she has got an alibi: she was with him at the airport when the robbery took place!

The police decide to let Miss Jones go and she is very happy…she is free! But Inspector Smith is very intelligent. He shows her an earring and then the woman says that she never uses them…Inspector realizes that there are two women and they are identical twin sisters! They planned to steal the gem together and they wanted Inspector Smith to give them the alibi that they needed.

Both sisters, Olivia and Olga, are arrested and the police find the diamond in their hotel room.
